October 2016 - ???
Belette Hell was originally a school project. We had to make a shooter game in a month and for most of the team it was our first game (if we don't include game jams).
We went for a really ambitious game : an 2 players asymmetrical versus game : one player plays a side scrolling shooter with a controller and the other plays with a touch pad that controls the boss and send waves of enemies to the other player with a management interface.
After the first month of development the result wasn't so good, probably because we were a bit too ambitious at first. But the all team, proud of our concept and encouraged by our teacher, decided to continue the development of the game.
The gameplay
The game shows the battle between Chris Morris, a badass rebel weasel, and the evil fox Mothership.
Shooter
In this side of the game, the player control Chris Morris, he must survive and destroy the Mothership in a classic 2D side scrolling shooter.
To destroy the Mothership, the player must aim at his weak points. There are five of them, and only one is destructible at a time. When the player has shut down all the weak points he has a firing window to damage the Mothership.

Management
In this side of the game, the player control the Mothership. He must protect himself and kill Chris Morris with waves of Fox and other abilities available in his management interface.
In this interface, the player has a deck of cards with three types of cards :
- The foxes: different types of unit with different behavior
- The power up : cards that boost the foxes and modify their behavior.
- The Mothership abilities : different types of abilities such as a heal or a deadly laser ray...
These cards can be launch on lanes that correspond to the weak points.
